Questions & Answers
Q: How many people can we have at our wedding?
A: There are various minimum guest numbers, depending on the time of year. The maximum is 100 people, including the couple marrying.
Q: Are we able to do our own catering, or bring in outside caterers?
A: No. For food safety and other reasons, catering is provided by the Gracehill Kitchen. Wedding cakes can be brought into the venue if arranged prior to the wedding.
Q: We have a number of guests with special dietary requirements. Are you able to provide meals for them?
A: All dietary requirements can be catered for. Menus come with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. We can adapt menus in cases of food allergies and so on. Our team will work with you to make sure everyone has a great dining experience.
Q: Are we able to bring in our own alcohol?
A: Gracehill is fully licensed, which means no outside alcohol can be brought in. That said, if there is a particular drink that you’d like at your wedding, arrangements can be made to buy that in for you.
Q: What times are the weddings?
A: Summer weddings start at 4pm to avoid the heat of the day. In winter, 2pm is the usual start time. In all cases, the service time is eight hours.
Q: What days are most popular?
A: It’s best to book early if you want to secure your wedding date in the summer season – November to March. The most popular days of the week are Saturday, followed by Friday and Sunday.
Q: How does the pricing work?
A: The cost of the wedding is made up of the venue fee (normally charged only on premium dates) plus a cost per person for food and drink. Depending on the time of year and day of the week, there are different minimum guest numbers required. The more premium the day, the higher the minimum guest number is. Other selections, such as the very-popular venue styling, Vineyard Suite and hire items, are additional to that cost. We don’t charge extra for tables and chairs, tableware or use of the sound system.
Q: How do we choose what we want?
A: It’s easy. We create you an online proposal that includes menus, information about styling options, upgrades, vendor choices and more. At the viewing and after, a team member will help you with your choices. Most importantly, you get to choose combinations of items to get to the price that fits your budget. The total cost calculates automatically. No surprises!
